How to Use Your Sewing Machine
The sewing machines entry-level have very simple handling. But for beginners all sewing machines look frighteningly and they don't know some simple things: how to turn on, thread them etc.
Special for beginners we wrote this tutorial with steps how to use your sewing machine. This guide is suitable for any models sewing machines entry-level with vertical oscillating shuttle hook system.
Here you find steps of instruction how to use your sewing machine. You will know how to thread a sewing machine and other basic knowledge for beginners.
First, you need connect to sewing machine the foot control.
Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
Turn on the power switch that is located on the right side of the body.
Note: Some models have another location of the power switch.
When you turn on the power switch appears lighting of the workplace.
The lighting lamp for sewing machines can be of two types. To remove lamp one of them you need to unscrew it. The other type a lamp need a little turn and pull down.
Now you need wind the bobbin. Pull the removable table to the left.
Open the cover of shuttle and bobbin compartment.
Open the hinged latch and pull out bobbin case from shuttle assemble.
Release the latch and bobbin will fall easily.
It is time for the thread a bobbin. The bobbin you need put on this metal pin that is part of the bobbin winder.
Now you need to start a thread a bobbin.
Look for the thread guide and insert the thread through every of them.
The end of the thread is better insert through the hole on inner side a bobbin.
This is the scheme of threading a bobbin.
Now you can turn on the bobbin winder. Pull to the right the bobbin till it clicks.
Plastic limiter having oval shape can be adjusted. The different position of this oval limits number of the thread in the bobbin.
Insert the bobbin into the bobbin case as shown.
Open the hinged latch of bobbin housing with two fingers and put it back into sewing machine.
Close the cover of shuttle device.
Insert the removable table to the body of sewing machine.
Now you're ready to thread your sewing machine with needle thread through the thread take-up lever and other guides. On the front places are typically numbers and arrows show you how to thread the machine correct.
Do not miss a single fastening thread guide.
At the end, insert the thread into needle eye.
Before you start sewing the fabric you should pull the bottom thread through the hole of needle plate.
Hold the needle thread taut, and towards you in your left hand.
The presser foot you need to lift up using this lever.
Lifting the bottom thread up must be done manually by turning the handwheel.
For pulling up the bottom thread the needle should be lowered only once.
Pull both threads along the central slit of presser foot.
The first stitch will be better make by hand.
Using these levers you can select the stitch length and type of line.
On this diagram you can see the samples of the stitches.
This is the top thread tensioner.
The reverse sewing button is applied at the beginning and end of stitching.
