How Make Bias Tape and Sew to the Neckline
This tutorial has two parts. First part includes the tips how to sew the pre-made bias tape to the neckline women's garments. Second part helps you make the double folded bias tape from fabric your own and add to the neckline your dress.
The necklines of dresses or arm holes are these places where the bias tape facing can be sewn. Sewing a bias tape facing to these curved lines is not easy. To sew bias tape binding nice and tidy need have skill. Therefore, I advise beginners buy bias tape and to try sew it on the training piece of fabric, as shown.
Fold your bias tape in half along needed length and press it with iron.
Please note that both edges of the tape are necessary to fold with the offset. This part of the tape should be based on face side a dress. This little trick will allow you to avoid skipped stitches on the back side of bias tape.
During ironing a bias tape does not use steam. Hot steam may burn your fingers.

The tailor's awl is really helpful tool during sewing a bias tape binding.
Select medium stitch length (3-4). Do handle your fabric carefully into tape and avoid stretch it.
Stitch the double folded tape around the curve lines with the small areas.
Stitch slowly periodically stopping to lift the presser foot and re-position the tape.
If you do all steps right the neckline your dress will look so fine.

Note: The fabric should be cut at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the fabric edge.
You need to calculate desired width of the tape, bearing in mind that each half of the tape will be folded in half.
Cut the strip strictly on marked lines.
Now you need fold both edges of the tape together, as shown.
And press them, as shown.
Fold your bias tape in half along all needed length and press it.
Please note that the edges of the tape are necessary to fold with the offset.
Stitch step by step around the neckline trying to sew closer to the edge of folded bias tape and keeping this value from start to the end.
So looks handmade bias tape on the neckline of a dress.
This method can be used for finishing with bias tape any women's and girls' garments.
